Life Energy Cultivation is the literal meaning of QiGong.
Some people think of it as gentle exercise, others consider it a moving meditation.
It is a great way to increase life force energy.

Heavenly Energy, QiGong Exercise
For some this is a much easier way to meditate. Many people get frustrated trying to sit still in meditation as the mind wanders all over the place. With QiGong, the breathe is synchronized with movement, leading to a meditative state. The great thing is that you can practice this almost anywhere, you don’t have to have a place to sit. It is done standing up. You can do it in your bedroom, a park, the beach or at the local gym.
The movements are done in a very slow, relaxed fashion. Muscles should be relaxed and flexible. Breathing should be slow and deep. It takes practice to really feel the Qi energy, but just be patient and stick with it.
