Here is a good yoga pose for beginners.
Start out by just lying on the floor, with knees bent.
Have a slight curve in your lower back.
- Bend one knee towards the chest
- Keep the arm inside the knee
- Grab the outside of the foot
Push up with the leg, but pull down with the hand. This creates a resistance, strengthening and stretching the leg at the same time.
A great stretch for the back of the thigh, hamstring and hips.
