You can’t have pregnenolone without cholesterol. You may be doing yourself a disservice by trying to reduce your cholesterol, it is the precursor to this whole hormonal pathway. Of course you want to keep your bad cholesterol down. Eating better quality foods (lots of organic fruits and vegetables, healthy fats) is my preferred method. Also taking good care of the liver.
Get that Cortisol Down
Stress causes cortisol in the body. This can lead to adrenal fatigue and a poor dhea to cortisol ratio. Consider stress reduction techniques like meditation, restorative yoga or Tai Chi.
